Meet Neave, somehow one of our longest residents in care and one of the sweetest boys you’ll ever meet. While in foster care, he appeared to be potty- and crate-trained, excellent in the car, gentle during baths, and playful with the foster’s dog. He even slept through the night without a peep and quickly bonded with his people like the true Velcro dog he is.

Neave is smart, treat-motivated, and eager to please. He can get a little jumpy when excited, but he listens well and loves learning new things. On a recent outing to Covington, he walked calmly through busy streets filled with cars, people, and squirrels. He impressed the entire restaurant patio with his polite behavior—he took treats gently (even from a fork!) and stayed relaxed while the server moved around the table. For a dog who has spent so long waiting for a home, his manners and sweetness shine.

Neave would thrive with someone slightly active who enjoys walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. His adoption fee has already been paid, and Sheltered Paws is sending him home with a leash, collar, durable chew toy, treats, and a rebate of up to $100 toward a training class of your choice. This handsome, loving boy has waited long enough—could you be the one he’s been hoping for?

All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Our adoption fees are among the lowest in Cincinnati!

To meet our animals, visit our Northside shelters any day from 1–6pm. If listed as foster, email [email protected] to schedule a meet and greet. Adopting an adult dog with resident dogs or kids at home? Bring them along to ensure it’s a perfect match.
