Meet Onyx, an energetic, affectionate dog who has been with us since May and is more than ready for a home of his own. He loves being around people, warms up quickly, and leans in for affection. Onyx is smart and eager to work! He knows sit, stay, down, and watch me. He’s also shown signs of being potty-trained across multiple day trips.

He also loves roughhousing with his dog friends in doggie playgroup at the shelter. Onyx is a lovable companion who enjoys leaning on you, sitting at your feet, or climbing into your lap for attention. He likes to be close to his person even when riding in the car. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful dog who loves to learn and loves his people even more, Onyx might be your match!

All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Our adoption fees are among the lowest in Cincinnati!

To meet our animals, visit our Northside shelters any day from 1–6pm. If listed as foster, email [email protected] to schedule a meet and greet. Adopting an adult dog with resident dogs or kids at home? Bring them along to ensure it’s a perfect match.
