Host An Event for CARE
Give back to animals in need by hosting an event in honor of Cincinnati Animal CARE! There are many ways that your group/business can impact the daily lives of thousands of animals in need.
Event Opportunities:
- Host a donation drive! Our wish lists are available to send items directly to us!
- Host a fundraising event! This could be a happy hour, shopping special, or another way your business can raise money.
- Select Cincinnati Animal CARE as the designated charity for a fundraising event
If you are interested in hosting an event on our behalf, please review our Community Event Guidelines below before submitting your proposal. Once reviewed, please fill out this Google form to submit your proposal for consideration. A representative from CARE will contact you shortly after submission.
Community Event Guidelines
Advanced Notice:
All event proposals should be submitted at least 1 month (4-weeks) prior to the event. This allows for ample time to plan, coordinate, and market the event for optimal results. If there is already an event scheduled at your proposed time, you may be asked to change dates or the event will not be approved.
Media/Promoting of the Event:
CARE must see and approve all marketing materials (flyers, social graphics, etc.) prior to their publishing to ensure they align with our branding guidelines. CARE will not provide funding for these materials. Once an event is approved, we will provide the host with a copy of our logo and preferred verbiage to help them get started.
CARE will help in promoting the event by posting about it on our social media, mentioning the event on our tv media spots if applicable, and attending the event with our staff/volunteer team. We will also accept “co-host” requests on Facebook when an event page is created.
Other Charities:
If Cincinnati Animal CARE is not the only charity benefiting from an event, that must be disclosed at the time of proposal.
Onsite Representation:
Due to the high volume of inquiries and limited resources, there is no guarantee we will be able to provide staff, volunteers or animals at your event. It is the responsibility of the event organizer or sponsor to organize and fill volunteer positions. We will try our best to be there for representation. Please note that we rarely participate in one-time, off-site adoption events and there are stricter policies in place for these to be approved.
Permits & Liability:
All needed permits for the event are the responsibility of the event organizer. Cincinnati Animal CARE is not responsible for any property damage and cannot assume any type of liability for your event, participants, volunteers or employees. We cannot provide liability insurance or coverage for your event.
Expenses:
Applicants will agree to assume responsibility for all expenses associated with the event and assume all responsibility for any debts incurred.
Payment:
Cincinnati Animal CARE must receive payment of the donation within 30 days of the event. Please make checks payable to Cincinnati Animal CARE.
Cincinnati Animal CARE has the right to decline or cancel participation for any event for any reason such as, the event does not adhere to our Community Event Guideline, it requires significant attendance from our staff or volunteer community, it conflicts with another already scheduled event, or the event is controversial in nature or does not represent our image or mission.
