The free vaccines are made possible through Petco Loveโ€™s national Vaccinated and Loved program, which helps animal welfare partners provide essential vaccinations to pets in their communities. Free microchips are generously sponsored by Best Fence Cincinnati, a locally owned company committed to supporting animal welfare and helping lost pets find their way home.

Petco Love has distributed more than four million free pet vaccines nationwide to help prevent deadly but highly preventable diseases like parvovirus, distemper, and panleukopenia. Survey data from pet parents attending these clinics shows that only 38% reported their pet had previously received similar vaccines, highlighting the continued need for accessible preventive care.

By removing cost barriers and bringing services directly into the community, partnerships between organizations like Petco Love, Community Matters, Best Fence Cincinnati, and Cincinnati Animal CARE help ensure more pets stay healthy, more families stay together, and fewer animals enter the shelter system.

Through Petco Loveโ€™s Vaccinated and Loved initiative, Cincinnati Animal CARE aims to vaccinate 4,800 pets annually through its weekly shelter clinics and targeted community pop-up events.
