Ginny is a sweet, soulful, middle-aged queen who has been patiently waiting for her fresh start. She came to us as a transfer from another shelter, where she had been since October 2023, and after more than two years of waiting, she is ready for her chance to finally find a family of her own.

Ginny lives for the simple joys in life like gentle pets, cozy snuggles, and getting outside to stretch her legs. She loves to run, go on daily walks, and lights up when it is time to explore the world. When it is time to wind down, she is happiest soaking up affection right by your side.

While Ginny can coexist around other dogs, she is not much of a player and prefers doing her own thing rather than roughhousing. She is happiest focusing on her people and her routines.

She also has a very special best friend, her little piggy toy, which she adores and keeps close. And if you really want to win her heart, spray cheese is the way to do it. Ginny is a big fan.

Ginny is hoping that being in a higher-traffic shelter will help her story reach the right person, the one who will finally take her home and show her what it means to be someone’s forever. If you are looking for a loyal, loving companion who has waited far too long, Ginny is ready to meet you.

All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Our adoption fees are among the lowest in Cincinnati!
