Meet Duckie, a gorgeous grown-up gal with graceful manners, soulful eyes, and the sweetest slow-blooming personality. She may take a few days to fully settle in and trust new people, but once she does, she becomes a loyal little shadow who loves hanging nearby, soaking up cuddles, and quietly being part of your day. Duckie appears potty trained, has done well crated, knows “sit” and “come,” and has an easygoing, low-energy vibe that makes her a lovely companion for a cozy home.
Duckie enjoys peaceful walks and listens well on leash, only getting a little excited if a squirrel makes an appearance. One of her foster’s favorite quirks is how she walks up the stairs of houses along the route to the park, as if checking to see whether her future family lives there. She’ll also occasionally stop mid-walk just to sit for a moment and ask for a little reassurance and affection. She’s not much for toys, but string cheese is absolutely the way to her heart. Duckie is the kind of dog who sneaks into your routine quietly and then suddenly feels like she’s always belonged there.
