Meet Lyla, a gentle giant with the sweetest soul. This extra large girl is calm, quiet, and incredibly easy to live with. She loves long cuddle sessions on the couch, will softly nudge your hand for more pets if you stop, and fully believes she is a lap dog despite her size. She sleeps peacefully through the night in her dog bed, though she’d be more than happy to upgrade to your bed if allowed.
Lyla has wonderful house manners and has done great being left home alone. She enjoys short walks where she can take her time sniffing and exploring the world around her, sits politely for treats, and takes them ever so gently from your hand. She’s more of a relaxed companion, but she’ll occasionally toss around a ball and has been very respectful with toys in the home. Lyla warms up nicely to new people who go at her pace and tends to be a quiet, timid observer around other dogs. Even car rides are manageable — though she may try to convince you she belongs in the front seat snuggled in your lap!
All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Our adoption fees are among the lowest in Cincinnati!
To meet our animals, visit our Northside shelters any day from 1–6pm. If listed as foster, email [email protected] to schedule a meet and greet. Adopting an adult dog with resident dogs or kids at home? Bring them along to ensure it’s a perfect match.
