Meet Shamu, a dog who shines brightest when he has structure, enrichment, and a person to bond with. This athletic, playful pup loves adventure, learns quickly, and enjoys working for treats and praise. He already knows sit, paw, place, and recall cues. Shamu is affectionate, wiggly, and eager to connect, often leaning in for attention and greeting new friends politely once he’s focused. He can be a little energetic at first but will quickly plop on the ground to relax.

He enjoys fetch and two-ball games, is very toy-focused! With other dogs, he has neutral to playful moments and has done nicely in slow, thoughtful introductions, though he prefers calmer dogs.

He sits politely for his harness, offers great manners at thresholds, rides well in the car, and loves exploring parks and pet-friendly spaces. He is playful, loyal, expressive, and full of personality. If you’re looking for a bright, active companion who loves training, adventure, and affection, Shamu is ready for a fresh start.
