And he is. He just missed a few important lessons along the way, which our Behavior team is now helping him learn. He’s working on calm, patience, and better ways to communicate without using his mouth.

Steve is an intelligent, driven dog who enjoys training and is already making progress. He needs an experienced owner—someone who likes to train, can provide consistency, and will continue the work he’s started. He’s not a “wing it and see what happens” kind of dog.

This is a dog with a lot of potential and a clear path forward. If you’re the kind of person who enjoys a project and knows how to bring out the best in a smart, busy dog, Steve is ready to meet you.

All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Our adoption fees are among the lowest in Cincinnati!
