Group Volunteering
We love welcoming small groups for half day projects at the shelter. Available opportunities can range from dog walking, enrichment building, general shelter support, and more! Please note that our group volunteer projects are scheduled on a first come first serve basis and we can not guarantee that we can accommodate specific dates or times.

Featured Group Volunteering Opportunities
The following group volunteering opportunities are ones that our staff can accommodate on a semi-regular basis.
Dog Walking
Are you looking for a meaningful team-building activity that also gives back to the community? Bring your corporate group to the Hamilton County Animal Shelter and help improve the lives of our dogs while getting some exercise!
Volunteering with our Walk Group is a fantastic way to get your steps in, be part of a compassionate community, and make new friends—both human and canine. It's an opportunity to bond with colleagues outside the office, reduce stress, and contribute to the well-being of our shelter dogs.
Cat Care
Bring your small group (5 or fewer) for a fun volunteer activity supporting shelter cats! With dozens of cats in our care, we rely on passionate volunteers to provide the love and care they need.
When volunteering with our Cat Care team, your group will assist with morning cleaning, feeding, cuddling cats, and other tasks. This is a great opportunity for a small group of cat lovers who want to bond over the cutest furry friends and make an impact on shelter cats all at once!
Enrichment Prep
Bring your corporate group to the Hamilton County Animal Shelter and help us provide vital enrichment for our dogs! Enrichment is a crucial part of animal care that keeps our dogs' minds and bodies active, preventing boredom and promoting well-being.
By volunteering with us, your team can assist in creating and distributing enrichment activities. It's a hands-on, rewarding experience that not only supports the shelter but also brings joy and comfort to the animals in our care.
