John McClane is the kind of guy who walks into a room with cool, easy confidence like he has been the hero before and could do it again if needed. But these days, he is much more interested in being your laid back best friend. He is a people loving charmer who settles in easily, whether that is at home or out and about, and he keeps things pretty mellow overall.

In a home, John has done well left out of a crate, appears potty trained, and will happily rotate between the couch, a cozy dog bed, or snuggling up with you when he is in the mood for affection. He loves toys, treats, and proudly carrying around his latest “treasure” to show off, especially when greeting his favorite people.

He has done well with kids, enjoys rolling around in the grass on walks, and walks with manageable enthusiasm on leash. John gets along with other dogs but would likely do best with a more easygoing companion or as your one and only, where he can soak up all the attention. Sweet, goofy, and steady, John McClane is ready to retire from action hero life and settle into his happily ever after.
