Cincinnati Animal CARE Announces New Year New Home Promotion
$.99 Adoption Fees Made Possible by Generous Donor
Thursday, January 2nd, 2025 (Cincinnati, Ohio) – Cincinnati Animal CARE, Hamilton County’s only open-intake animal shelter and the sole provider of animal control services for the county, is excited to kick off the New Year with $.99 adoptions. Thanks to a generous donation, all adult dog adoptions will be sponsored from January 2nd through January 5th at both Cincy CARE facilities.
The initiative, made possible by Mitch Painter at Prestige Properties, a real estate investment firm, aims to help deserving shelter pets find loving homes. By sponsoring reduced adoption fees for cats and dogs during the promotion, Prestige Properties hopes to make pet ownership more accessible to the community while easing shelter overcrowding.
Cincy CARE’s “New Year, New Home” reduced-fee adoption event follows a record-breaking year for the organization. In 2024, more than 5,000 dogs and cats were adopted—surpassing the 2022 record. Through this initiative, Cincy CARE hopes to find homes for even more animals and start 2025 on a high note.
“Our community has consistently shown up for the cats and dogs in our care over the past year, and we can’t thank them enough,” said Meaghan Colville, Shelter Director at Cincy CARE. “However, many animals are still waiting for loving homes. That’s why partnerships with local donors are so vital and appreciated. Working with Prestige Properties allows us to highlight our incredible animals and make pet ownership possible for more families.”
