“Dog’gone Funny Comedy Show” to Benefit Cincinnati Animal CARE on May 17

Shelter Me to Film Special Episode Featuring Stand-Up Comics at Urban Artifact!

Friday, April 25th, Cincinnati, OH — Laughter goes to the dogs (in the best way possible) on Saturday, May 17 at 7 p.m., when Cincinnati Animal CARE takes center stage at Urban Artifact for a one-night-only comedy special: The Dog’gone Funny Comedy Show. The event, held at the historic Northside church turned brewery and event venue, will raise funds and awareness for the lifesaving work of Hamilton County’s only open-intake animal shelter.

Featuring a powerhouse lineup of Cincinnati’s best comics and national touring comedians — including Steve Caminiti, Jeff Jena, Alex Reymundo, Tom Mabe, Kelly Collette, Michael Flannery, Mark Chalifoux, Gabe Kea, Clay Foley, Wayne Memmott, Erica Russell, Chris Weir, Chris Siemer and Kim Sherwood — this evening promises laughs for a cause. Leading up to the comedy event, the Emmy Award-winning PBS docuseries Shelter Me will be filming at the shelter, around town and at the show for an upcoming episode, highlighting the magic of shelter pets and the communities that rally behind them. The episode will be broadcast and streamed nationally later this year.

And yes — dogs will be in the audience! Cincinnati Animal CARE fosters and supporters will be on-site at the show, accompanied by adoptable shelter dogs, ready to meet their forever families!
